It’s true. I’ve managed to complete a tiny knitting project that wasn’t even on my original list.
These sweet little booties:

Aren’t they precious? The pattern is from this book. I used Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino, barely used any of the skein. Lovely sky blue color. They are for my cousin’s baby, who’s wife is having a shower in November. (Right, Lolo, like I’m going to post any knitted items for you on my blog – where’s the surprise in that???)
Velvet approves, I think.

In completely unrelated knitting news, I have relapsed. My flu/cold virus thing is still going strong. I went to work Thursday and Friday and collapsed Friday night. After a night of coughing, my back is very sore, achy. Almost all the tissue in my house has been used up and I’m just plain tired. Tired of being sick. Tired of coughing. Tired of not being able to breathe. I am using a cough suppressant, Dayquil, Nyquil and cough drops. There’s some relief in those meds, but not much. This virus is a fighter.
One lovely thing about today is that we have 20 mile an hour winds.
I love the wind. I love to hear my windchimes and sit in the sun. Though the wind is probably contributing to my constant sneezing, I still love the wind.
So do Sam & Jessie:

We took a moment outside earlier. Excuse the slippers. Sam did his paw trick – I think it’s a domination thing? Or an attention getting thing. His paw is always on my foot when he sits at my feet. Such happy dogs. They know I’m sick. So do the cats. None of them will leave me alone. And right now, I’m ok with that.
Too bad that you’re sick again.
The booties are precious!
I am quite tired of being sick. I think it may have to do with some stress in my life right now. I always seem to catch whatever’s going around when stressed.
Glad you like the booties. I want to make 50 billion pairs of them they are so cute!
