Taking the CSET is like having your brain squished between a WWF wrestler’s meaty mitts.
It’s that much fun.
So I did 3 of the 4 subtests today and I am officially scrambled. I don’t know where the test creator’s come up with some of that stuff. By the end, I was on my 3rd wind and dying quickly.
If I passed one section out of the three, I’ll be happy. As long as the day wasn’t a total waste. (If I don’t pass all 3, however, I get do testing all over again! Whoo.)
In other news, my dogs are home!
They’ve been staying with Grandma (my mom) while the concrete I had poured set up. I don’t think it’s completely “set” but by morning it might be ok to put the kennels on top of the concrete.
Why the concrete? Well, because Sam, love him dearly, is a digger. And because when it rains, the dogs get completely muddy and it takes quite a long time to clean them up to be in the house. And cleaning up the dogs when I come home from work is not my most favorite thing to do. So I have a brand new 24′ x 13′ concrete pad for the dogs kennel to sit upon.
Yay me. Just a little hosing the concrete is good as new. And yes, I do keep them locked up while I’m at work because otherwise Sam would dig his way under the fence and he and Jessie would be 1/2 to Yosemite before I got home from work.
In fun news, I knit with real live knitters today!
It’s true, I am a lone knitter 99% of the time. I’ve been ok with it because I’m a hermit at heart but lately, I’ve been craving a good knit with other knitters. So today, thanks to the good folks at Ravelry, I met up with two other local knitters at a coffee shop.
One happens to be the younger sister of a woman I went to high school with who found me on Ravelry. The other lives in the same tiny town I grew up in (my friend and her sister also lived in that same tiny town)! How’s that for 6 degrees of separation??? So we all chatted about needles and yarn and fiber festivals and our stashes. It was so nice to talk knitting with someone without their eyes glazing over. I may have gotten a little TOO excited, what with the coffee consumption and all. So I apologize if I ran at the mouth.
And btw, I’d like to meet a guy like the guys these gals are married to… they actually swoon over their wives knitting and understand their craving to hord wool. Hello??? Are there any guys like that out there for me????
I love knitting!
My mom made me seven scarfs in my school’s colors to give to my girls cross country team. I thought it was the coolest thing!
